Problem solved--frequent account lockout in wondows xp | Technoweblog

The things happen due to user were storing there password in their pc’s, the problem will first occurs when the user change there password after store in any pc, at the time the stored password where tried to use the password to login to the appropriate application.

So the login attempt will automatically fail so that why it goes the user account in to trouble, I am here explain the most common fact of the frequent account lockout issue ,but it some it my be different ..

Let we begin to troubleshooting, their must be steps need to taken in both the server and client side let we see one by one, first check with client pc it seem the pc which user were using to login

Normally in most organization will use single sign on option i.e. they used to have the same domain user name and password for their most of their application it include outlook, sap, and other web based application.etc.

Step 1 how to remove the stored password in local pc

Start–> Run

Type control userpasswords

It will show the dialog box then click manage passwords button

It shows the password which stored in the pc then click remove, then ok

In that run LockoutStatus.exe it used to find out the domain controller which getting lockout

Then run  EventCombMT.exe .  it used to search the event log of the server.
